Time for Spring Special Olympic Games again!
Aspen did great!
She did the softball throw, the 50 meter dash and the 4x100 relay. She was the anchor for her relay team. As she came in the entire crowd was cheering her on, include a big crowd of Marines and Skip Waters, the weather guy from channel 12 News. I was so proud of her, she ran the whole 100 meters and bought the bronze home for her team. A few of her classmates are not into running much, but they walked it. They all did great and participated to the best of their ability. I love watching all of these special Olympians, they are such special people, and very friendly.
Aspen's "buddy"/helper this year was Connor, an athlete from her school, probably football player. He was really sweet and even held her hand when she wanted him to.
I love watching Aspen do things that she loves.
She is playing special needs baseball too, I will post pics of that soon.
I absolutely LOVE this girl!
