Joaquin's Official Birthday Party

The holiday season is a very busy one at our house.  The 23rd is Jolynne's birthday, the 24th is Joaquin's and then Christmas.  This year was the first time we had a friend birthday party for Joaquin so we were even busier.  We always do our best to separate their birthdays from the holiday festivities.  This is tricky to do on the 24th.  We have Joaquin birthday time, take a break, have our Christmas Eve traditions of reading the Christmas story in Luke, chapter 2, and watching "Joy to the World" a video of the birth of our savior, and then we spend time opening one gift and setting out the cookies & milk for Santa.  Busy night!  Joaquin had a great time opening more gifts and having another cake to eat, except for the fact that he really doesn't like cake.  He likes the ice cream though.  Here are some pics from his official party:
